  1. Britts,
Christmas is a special time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are reminded that he is the true hope of the world. This past year you have experienced many things in life that very few will experience in a life-time; experiences that have challenged your faith and the faith of those who love you so much. We have watched you grow in your faith and provide to those of us around you inspiration and a greater understanding of what hope in Christ truly means.

As your father I am so very proud of you for what you “through Christ” have overcome. Overcoming is the theme of Christmas and it is your theme as you have overcome so much…
…the initial news of cancer and sharing with all of us from the beginning that you were going to beat this
…facing the challenges of loosing your hair and continual sickness through the nine month period
…graduating from PT school with the challenge of having to take a break for all your treatments
…going back to school during a time where you were still getting your strength back
…never giving up on your PT board exams and PASSING
…finding and starting a new job

The list could go on and on but my main reason for posting this is to say to you and all those who read this that Jesus Christ lives and He is at work in the lives of each and everyone of us. I believe that God has a plan for all of us and I have had the blessing of seeing His hand at work in your life in ways I never imagined. We would have never wanted this path for you but now we can see that God has used this experience to show us His Glory. Heaven came down over 2000 years ago and you are a testimony that He continues to reign and is faithful to those who call upon His name.

I will forever remember this Christmas as a time where we as a family were blessed beyond measure, with your health and seeing the work of Christ in your life. It seems your story has only begun as you enter into 2014 Dr. Swank. It seems strange and almost wrong to say that this past chapter of your life will always be a special one. God used this time (interruption) to shape your life and impact so many around you.

As always I say a lot to say very little, so I will end by simply saying that I LOVE you more than words can express and I am so thankful for our Savior who provided and continues to provide us Hope in all things.
